Terminal T2 of the Málaga
Airport, also called Pablo Ruiz Picasso, was designed
by the architecutre studio of Ricardo Bofill. Its
construction began at the end of 1988 and the terminal
was officially opened on 30th November 1991.
The building has twon floors with separates entrances
from the outside; the lower floor is devoted to arrivals
while the upper floor is for departures. An additional
upper floor holds the shooping area and can be reached
from the restricted area, while the basement can be
reached from arrivals area and holds the car rental
services. The terminal contains 65 check-in desks,
24 boarding gates, 14 airport walkways, and 8 baggage
pick-up belts.
