The secular and religious architecture of sanlucar
la Mayor will surprise the traveller who happens upon
this beautiful village with its clay brick buildings.
During a tour he will see Mudejar style works of
art, such as the architectural complex of San Pedro,
the churches of San Eustaquio and Santa María
and the so called Treasure of the three perishes,
composed of seventy pieces of precious metal handiwork.
The village’s fiestas are as entertaining
as the village is beautiful. At the La corredera fairgrounds
the horsemen and horsewomen create a carnival atmosphere
in early September during the fiestas in honour of
San Eustaquio.
