Malaga Trekking
COMPETA, SIERRA ALMIJARA (5 hours)

Location: Comarca de AxarquÃa. Frigiliana- Sierra Almijara- Competa.
This route leads to La Sierra de Almijara, reaching a height of 1999 m.
We leave Frigiliana along a track situated North of the city wich makes its wayto the mountains, towards the Pico de Navachica, 1832 m. high. The track crosses the Fuerte hillock, leaving the Lucero, 1771 m. high, on the right.
After crossing river Torrox, a track to the left makes its way down to Competa. The walking tour at this point has a wonderful perspective of the Axarquia region, the Mediterranean sea and villages among the mountains.
